OBIEE/OBIA Architect

Job Description

Vertical Edge is looking for an OBIEE/OBIA architect to join our growing BI practice.  This position can be located anywhere in the continental 48 states.

Essential Job Functions

  • Collaborate with business areas and data owners to successfully implement and maintain an enterprise level business analytics and data warehousing solution.
  • Effectively and clearly communicate with the client to facilitate the relationship between client and VECG.
  • Develop front-end, metadata and ETL specification to support business requirements for reporting across the organization.
  • Manage a team of technical resources (both onsite and offsite) and ensure project delivery.
  • Responsible for the design, set up and maintenance of both Production and Non-Production environments.
  • Troubleshoot Production issues, identify root cause and migrate fixes.
  • Perform data cleansing and data auditing as necessary to ensure data quality.
  • Define and develop physical and logical data models to support departmental and functional reporting needs.
  • Able to design and architect solutions that meet business customer requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 10+ years of business intelligence and data warehouse experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) supporting development, configuration, administration and performance improvement.
  • 5+ years of experience with Oracle Business Intelligence Applications (OBIA).
  • Experienced with OBIEE/OBIA implementations
  • Experienced in upgrading OBIA
  • Experience with configuring, mapping and validating data elements from multiple source systems to OBIA.
  • Specific experience with Financial, Human Resources, Procurement & Spend and Supply Chain Analytics desired.
  • Experience with Oracle Data Integrator ETL tool (ODI) within the context of OBIA.
  • Experience with JDE as a source for OBIA.
  • Experience with EBS as a source for OBIA.
  • Knowledge and experience with end-to-end development.
  • Experience with high volume, complex relational databases
  • Strong understanding of database concepts including views, tables and indexing
  • Well-versed in best practices related to business intelligence and data warehousing.
  • Experienced in the design of RPD’s, configuration of data sources, configuring OBIEE through Enterprise Manager, design and development of OBIEE reports, analyses, and dashboards
  • Have a strong understanding of the OBIA architecture including physical data models, ETL, logical business models and subject areas.

Oracle/Hyperion HFM Architect

Vertical Edge Consulting Group is looking to hire full time HFM Architect for multiple projects within the continental US. Candidates must have experience in configuration, customization, and implementation of Oracle/Hyperion EPM applications – Hyperion Financial Management and FDM. This position will provide an expert consultative component in our clients’ ongoing efforts to expedite the ROI, and maximize the effectiveness, of their business performance management and business intelligence solutions. In this role you will act as a business solution or technical systems expert from the client base, creating Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and business intelligence (BI) solution visions and solutions that can be implemented over time.

An Architect has expert knowledge with EPM and BI solutions and has a track record of successful large implementations and is capable of creating and documenting estimates, designs, and plans for complex projects. As an employee, the Architect must be self-sufficient and pro-active in managing their work, while maintaining appropriate communication and escalation to management.
